Jan. 1, 2015 – A Look Back At 2014

Happy New Year to all! Today is the first day of the 2015 and day 122 for eating clean. If there is one thing you plan to do this year let it be eating clean… I can honestly tell you from experience for eating clean the last 4 months you get so much more than just eating healthier! (New post coming soon with all the benefits I’ve gotten thus far from eating clean).

I now write to say that I will continue with my new life style by eating clean all year. Yes you heard me correctly, the main thing I plan to do for 2015 are:

  • no sugar or artificial sugar
  • no chocolate
  • no soda
  • no fast food
  • no junk food
  • no refined grains (white flour)
  • no processed meat
  • walk 5 days a week for at least 20 minutes
  • 30 minutes of meditating

Other things I am also doing that I have not written on the blog site that I choose to do for this next year are:

  • no more than 5 hours of TV (including movies) per week
  • 30 minutes of scripture study
  • reading for at least 2 hours
  • producing a drawing every 60 days
  • sketching a picture once a week

There are a few other things I would like to do this year too, one being, learning to play the violin and the other start playing the piano more.

A look back at 2014

One thing I am happy I accomplished is looking 48 lbs. (starting September 2) and losing a total of 78 lbs. thus far. All I can say about this is, it’s very easy to gain weight and very hard to lose it. If there is one thing I wish for everyone is that they start taking control of their life and what they eat and start exercising to stay fit or to lose weight. With so many horrible foods out there now people can eat, it’s amazing people and companies even sell these things.

True they are making tons of money from those addicted to the food they make, but at the same time it’s sad to see that people will eat junk to get that small high, satisfaction, pleasure with the possibility they are damaging their health.  The choice is yours! I cannot make you do anything you do not want to do. I can just share my experiences with you and you make the choice yourself.

One thing I do wish for you all is what ever you do this year make it a great year and may this year be a great adventure…

  1. Happy New Year! What an amazing and inspiring journey you have begun. I am excited to follow you through this year of 2015. I, too, have made quite a few healthy lifestyle changes recently. Now to continue on with them and to add more to them.

2014 had some good highs for me and definitely some dark lows. I am ready to start fresh with 2015. 2014 taught me that I can do hard things, especially with the Lord’s help and grace.

    XOXO
